Meet Jessy Sahota

Jessy Sahota is a decorated law enforcement officer, an international athlete and a volunteer sports coach. Recognized globally as one of the top 40 police officers under 40 by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (I.A.C.P), Jessy’s unwavering dedication shines through his extensive work with the young people of Delta. Since 2009, Jessy has invested countless hours into the local non-for-profit charity called Yo-Bro Yo-Girl Youth Initiative. For his Police service and volunteering efforts Jessy was awarded the Queen’s Jubilee award in 2023

A multi-sport athlete, Jessy has clinched national and international accolades in wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and kabaddi. His recent gold medal victory at the 2023 World Police & Fire Championships in heavyweight wrestling is a testament to his commitment to excellence on and off the field.

Jessy’s passion for sport extends beyond the competitive arena as he mentors the next generation, alongside his brother Paul Sahota. Jessy and Paul both coach at North Delta and Tamanawis Secondary School, through this endeavour they have been able to clinch numerous provincial/regional championships. Jessy recently married his high school sweetheart Ikjot Sandhu who is a local realtor. Jessy wants it to be known that he is not entering politics because of opportunity but rather immense frustration with the direction this country is heading in under the Liberal Government. Jessy is ready to fight for Delta to axe the tax, build more homes, fix the budget and stop crime.
